The Kinahan’s KASC Project (a.k.a. the Hybrid Cask) is a groundbreaking fusion of five exceptional woods: Portuguese, American, French, Hungarian Oak, and Chestnut into one single cask.

Born as an experiment, the Hybrid Cask method is now a boundary-breaking triumph in modern whiskey craft, bold, multi-dimensional, and unapologetically original.

KASC LL

A softer side of rebellion.
The KASC Project [L.L.] offers a lighter, more versatile take on the groundbreaking Hybrid Cask concept.
As a blended Irish whiskey crafted for a softer, more mixable profile, [L.L.] serves as the approachable counterpart to the bold, full-bodied [B] release — the world’s first Hybrid Cask Irish whiskey.
Unlike its siblings, [L.L.] is not fully matured in Kinahan’s bespoke hybrid casks. Instead, it draws just enough influence to maintain the essence and distinctive character of [B], while delivering a smoother experience designed for broader appeal and mixability.
NOSE:
Gentle Hint of pear, lightly smoked tropical and Mediterranean fruits, nutmeg, cinnamon and vanilla.
PALATE:
Caramelised mango & tropical fruit, sundried raisins, fig and caramel-expresso.
FINISH:
Sweet Cinnamon spice cake with a hint of Vanilla.COLOUR:Deep dark brown.

KASC B

Gentle nutmeg, orange, clove, floral sweet honeycomb & syrupy pineapple.

KASC M

The KASC Project [M] marks a world first — a Hybrid Cask Single Malt Irish Whiskey like no other.
Building on the cult following of our original Hybrid Cask collection, this release pushes the boundaries of whiskey innovation even further. Crafted with a selection of rare and unconventional casks, it continues our quest to explore uncharted territory in whiskey making — where tradition meets bold invention.
NOSE:
Freshly cut mango & pineapple, poached spiced pear, molasses with a hint of vanilla oak.
PALATE:
Charred apricot, caramelized tropical fruits, sweet sun-dried Malvasia grapes and espresso burnt sugar.
FINISH:
Madeira cake, more pineapple and toasted cereal with pleasant creamy tannins.
COLOUR:
Deep brown colour, typically expected from a very old whiskey.

The KASC Project isn’t just another whiskey range — it is a radical reinvention of how whiskey flavour is born.

At its heart lies the Hybrid Cask™, a bold experiment: harnessing the terroir of wood itself to craft flavour from the cask up. Each Hybrid Cask™ is hand-built and uniquely constructed from a selection of five distinct wood types - Portuguese Oak, American Oak, French Oak, Hungarian Oak, and Chestnut.
