KASC™ M

A hybrid Single Malt like no other.

Bottle of Kinahan's Irish Whiskey with red and white label and black cap

The KASC Project [M] marks a world first — a Hybrid Cask Single Malt Irish Whiskey like no other.

The KASC™ Project [M] is a bold, world-first creation: a Hybrid Cask™ Single Malt Irish Whiskey that redefines tradition. Building on the cult status of the original KASC™ releases, this expression takes the innovation even further.

Each wood type brings its own complexity, resulting in a whiskey that’s layered, bold, and unapologetically different.

Expect a very rich, complex flavour profile with notes of spiced pear, charred apricot, dark molasses, and hints of vanilla oak—culminating in a long, warming finish with subtle sweet spice. A true frontier of whiskey craftsmanship.

What is the Hybrid Cask™?

The KASC Project isn’t just whiskey — it’s a radical reinvention of how whiskey flavour is born.

At its heart lies a bold experiment: harnessing the terroir of wood itself to craft flavour from the cask up. Each expression is matured in hand-built hybrid casks, uniquely constructed from five distinct wood types — Portuguese Oak, American Oak, French Oak, Hungarian Oak, and Chestnut.

Every tree tells a story. Every wood adds a layer. The result? A whiskey of rare complexity and depth, where flavours collide and evolve — spice meets sweetness, richness meets restraint.

Tasting Notes:

Five wooden fence planks with metal braces, each painted in different shades of red, yellow, brown, and natural wood finish.
  • Freshly cut mango & pineapple, poached spiced pear, molasses with a hint of vanilla oak.

  • Charred apricot, caramelised tropical fruits, sweet sun-dried Malvasia grapes and espresso burnt sugar.

  • Madeira cake, more pineapple and toasted cereal with pleasant creamy tannins.

  • Deep brown colour, typically expected from a very old whiskey.
